Cloak & Blender combines two of my favourite things, food and fancy dress.
Based in New York, Cloak & Blender brings you exciting combinations of juice relating to specific pop culture icons, songs or issues of today.
The blog explores the authors journey (who at this point in time remains anonymous) into juicing, documenting a process of transformation both inside and out. Her blog is inspired by local, seasonal ingredients and spontaneous costuming… food that affects mood.
All ingredients are bought daily, with choices in produce informing the direction of the corresponding costume. All costume ‘ingredients; are pooled from her own personal collection of every fashion supplies.
The ‘cloaking and blending’ process is first done by applying the costume, then by juicing followed by a photoshoot of her rooftop where the juice is enjoyed and a self portrait taken in celebration of good health.
One of my favourites is ‘Kale Me Baby’ a spin on Carly Rae Jespen’s smash hit ‘Call me Maybe‘
