Put your money where your mouth is.. no wait.. your mouth where your money is.. with this series by Henry Hargreaves, comprising the gadgets du jour, deep fried in a light golden batter.

NZ-born, Brooklyn-based artist Henry Hargreaves teamed up with food artist Caitlin Levin to batter and fry a iPod, iPad, laptop and other popular gadgets, in a comment on consumer culture.

“I liked the unlikely connection between electronics and fast foods: how they are fetishised, consumed and then discarded.”

It seems this isn’t the first of it’s kind:

Also, no actual gadgets were harmed during the process – they are actually recreations made with foamcore, which were then dipped in batter and dunked in oil.
