Just when you think oysters couldn’t get any more extravagant, they did. The addition of gold glitter to an oysters gives them an overwhelming sense of celebration, joy and happiness. It also has the added bonus of making your mouth sparkle all night.
Golden Oysters with Pomegranate Seeds & Champagne Vinaigrette
- Oysters (enough for 1 each)
- Gold edible spray paint
- 1 pomegranate
- ½ cup champagne
Shuck oysters, remove oyster, reserving their natural juices. Refrigerate and set aside.
Clean the shells thoroughly, removing all excess meat and flesh. Dry well and spray shells with edible spray paint. Set aside until dry.
Open and seed pomegranate, set aside ¼ cup of seeds for plating and juice the remaining seeds by crushing them cover a strainer, over a bowl.
To make the champagne vinaigrette, in a bowl, mix the pomegranate juice with champagne.
To assemble oysters, place oyster into golden shell, top with a few pomegranate seeds and drizzle with vinaigrette.
