Salty, crispy prosciutto and the sweet crunch of asparagus make the perfect party starter.
Prosciutto-wrapped Asparagus Spears
- 100g prosciutto
- 10 spears asparagus
- olive oil
- black pepper (optional)
Wrap asparagus with a slice of prosciutto, winding around the stem like a mayfair pole. Use the heat from your hands to warm the prosciutto and squeeze it to the asparagus spear to hold.
Heat a dash of olive oil in a grill or frying pan over a medium-high heat. Add asparagus and cook for 3-5 minutes (depending on the thickness of the asparagus), turning, until the prosciutto has browned and the asparagus is soft but still has some freshness and crunch.
Grind over some black pepper (optional) and serve immediately.
