A nice balance of tangy, sweet and crunchy, this quick cabbage slaw is a great accompaniment to a heap of Asian dishes and adds a nice fresh and sharp addition to a sandwich.
- 1/4 cabbage head, finely shredded
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 1 tablespoon black sesame seeds, toasted
Mix together the vinegar, mirin and sugar until sugar dissolves.
Combine cabbage with vinegar mixture and sesame seeds and allow to rest for at least 1 hour.
